I don’t agree. The Thanksgiving holiday is rooted in colonialism, including includes genocide and manifest destiny. If people choose to celebrate good food & family, great. But why honour colonialism by celebrating them on that day? Maybe a different day would be more appropriate. Just a thought.

Maple MAGA aren’t all homegrown. There have been US citizens in Canada for years now who have been instrumental in propping up little PP and expanding his base. They look for people who will easily buy into fear mongering and media-supported lies. It’s an international effort.

By “buying time”, I mean not actively inflaming the orange toddler into even more extreme retaliatory behaviour that he’d likely jump into if aggravated. It’s all about psychology. And yes, while PP and followers demand quick action, the PM has said from the beginning this is long-haul strategy.
