1862: Railway Mania In The Eastern Counties presents the game in a very different manner to multiplayer, creating restrictions on the type of railway line the player can run, plus which stocks are accessible to buy, in order to create a different puzzle to solve in each game

Went on a successful vampire hunt in Witcher: The Old World. If I want a solo game with a bit of crunch to it, but am a bit tired for a rules refresh it's becoming a favourite as I can set up and go. A nice mix of deck-building and some fun little adventure story bits. It's just good fun

The Witcher: The Old World boardgame set up and ready to play. The picture shows the main board map area, a map of The Old World which is a series of locations connected by roads. There are 5 minis on it, one of the witcher character being played, that of the Manticore School, 3 general monsters that the witcher can slay for rewards, and a larger vampire lord figure, the ultimate object of the game The final state of the game. The witcher mini is on the same spot as the vampire lord, the other monsters having been slain, you can see the witcher playing board with the skill levels he had accumulated, along with his deck of movement and combat cards. There is also the deck of the monster cards that have all been played, indicating the monster has been defeated

Not wanting to be an enabler, LOL, BUT my policy is to just buy a bunch more - unless you really don't have the space to store them.
I had these for stuff like Thunderbolt Apache Leader but when I got 1862: Railway Mania a year later I couldn't find them for ages.
Get them whilst they're in stock
A cheap plastic storage box with lots of little compartments, ideal for storing games with lots of small chits in them

Sorry to hear the sad news.
And yeah, it's weird - for a good few years I'd find myself checking to make sure that not-my-cat wasn't trying to sneak into the house when I'd leave the front door open
(Yes, I did have a bed for her on my doorstep, though, LOL)

I was quite pleased with how the tiny cooking fire came out on my Robinson Crusoe boardgame hut mini
The hut mini from the Robinson Crusoe boardgame. It is a wooden hut with ship sails used as a mantel, a thatched roof, and a tiny, stone lined cooking fire. It has been painted by me to a fairly adequate level using contrast paints, the flames on the fire look ok, for my (bad) skill level of painting

Yeah, I did something similar with my War Of The Ring Mount Doom piece to add lava (though not so fiddly as doing it around a skewer). Even with my terrible modelling and painting skills it came out ok
