No, that's not how I read it at all. Under Local Water Done Well (what a misnomer) water payments and charges have to be ringfenced to be spent only on water infrastructure etc. Those bills will be rising significantly

To be fair (someone has to be) that cap doesn't include water charges. It does, however, include targeted rates, so no more consulting people to see if they want to pay more for something better.

For me, it was being out in my garden when the final Lufthansa flight repatriating German tourists in New Zealand flew low and very loud over Christchurch - including right over my garden - to say goodbye and thank you. I admit it, I cried.

As far as I know I don't have any of that. But hay fever always hits my right nostril and eye first, and most often stays just there. If it moves to my left nostril and eye, then it's REALLY bad.

I looked up school holiday prices on Air NZ and this is comparable - slightly cheaper depending on the flight you want. So it's not totally exorbitant. It's a start.
