Had a great time as always at the Tensions of Europe conference this time in Frankfurt an der Oder hosted by the Europa-Universität Viadrina! Thank you to the organisers for accepting our panel and for all the great comments and conversations.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to give my talk on “Scientific and Diplomatic Objects” in the “Science Diplomacy: searching for a deeper past” panel at the ESHS conference. It was a wonderful session and experience, thank you to the panel organisers and Loukas Freris for taking the photo!

“Teknik- och vetenskapshistoriska dagar 2024” ended yesterday and I am going through scenic Sweden. A great experience where I got to meet both old and new friends and collegues! A highlight was our visit yesterday to the Royal Swedish Academy of Science and their archives and collections #histsci

The second day of the “Teknik- och vetenskapshistoriska dagar 2024”, this time at the Technical Museum in Stockholm, is over! Some great events and sessions today, very much looking forward to the last day tomorrow

Ending the day the best way I know how: 25 meters underground in a decommissioned Swedish nuclear reactor with a bunch of historians! What a great experience!!! #nukesky

It is always a pleasure to be able to teach engaged young students, especially when they humour your teaching experiments! Here are two very different timelines of the Cold War made by my students this morning for our course on the History of Science in the Cold War.

Yesterday, the STGS-group was very fortunate to get to visit the Siemens Healthineers MedMuseum collection and inspect some of their historical objects! Their collection includes radiological devices and instruments dating back to the infancy of the field. A wonderful experience! #histmed #histSTM

Some days, you get to see some really cool things! Today, our Chair visited a nuclear bunker under the main railway station in Nürnberg. In the event of a full-scale war, almost 2.500 people were supposed to have sought refugee here for two weeks. #NukeSky
