- Political prisoners & exiles after the 2017 referendum
- Systemic obstacles to freedom of expression & assembly
- Criminalisation of peaceful dissent
These are not signs of a healed democracy.

⬛️⬜ The Advocate General has issued his opinion on Spain's Amnesty Law & 1-O embezzlement accusations before the @eucourtofjustice.bsky.social.
Although his opinion is non-binding, his role is to propose a legal solution for the Court, who will deliver the final judgment in the coming months.

⬛️⬜ Spielmann warns that certain procedural limits—such as the two-month deadline for courts to decide on amnesty applications—could be too restrictive and risk infringing the right to effective judicial protection and judicial independence.
