Day after Thanksgiving and I made leftovers quiche! Blind baked crust of @anachronism.bsky.social 's superb sausage stuffing, filling is leftover green beans and creamed onions. Added a mix of muenster and Colby Jack along with egg and half and half. 🍽️

This year's cranberry sauce is a package of cranberries, a cup of sugar, half a cup of water, and half a cup of limoncello. 🍽️

It's a pretty cool place and worth checking out. If you're ever in town you should come have drinks (cocktails, tea, whatever) on my fantastic balcony - I'm still not used to the view I have now!

It's the most amazing place for a relaxing beverage, and I have been making flavored syrups and tea infused liquors so the drinks can be as nice as the view.

Today's kitchen experiment is fig syrup using Trader Joe's freeze dried figs. I'm wondering if it might make a nice mixed drink with the apple cider and chai infused rum. 🍽️
Sliced dried figs float in a sugar/water solution a saucepan on a glass cooktop. The sugar water is now bubbling and foaming around the dried figs. A jar of translucent syrup with a handwritten label reading "fig syrup".
