And yet, best part of 500 quid for 64 cells of Conway's Life?! Where's the spatial relationship between all those triggers? What would it *mean*? (Don't mean sheeeiit...) Guess, horrifyingly, that's £180's worth of mono sockets? (Plus thr'punnce for the microcontroller.
..)

I'm in the wrong trade.

1D next-nearest cellular automaton, with a neighbourhood of five cells.
Each cell in the centre column of five cells triggers a drum.
Each row of the column read as a binary value triggers a MIDI note on a synth.
Previous states of the cells read as binary values vary CCs. (detune, cut-off, LFO...)

(For when one can't read any more Spiked articles, there are machines to read them for you... I did one, there are others.)

T-shirts that sounded like a Reasonably Good Idea in a hacker-infested field some miles from Berlin, but provoke questions in Darkest Finchley:

(Got MathJax going in emberJs with a random "Rich" editor that also had to work in IE8 once, and I don't especially like pain...)

If you add the previous state (p) to the {LlcrR} neighbourhood,
there are 2^(2^6)=18446744073709551616 rules.

CoolingProngs should release a shocking pink buddha machine with one fucking sample on it.
("Cooling Prongs.")

(*Maybe* put the beetle mandible noise on there too, I don't know.)

Weird asymmetric sort-of-totalistic rule.

Messing with next-nearest-neighbour 1D CAs, neighbourhood is {LlcrR}, there are 2^32 of them.

Code eventually.
