I just went partially purple too and it’s fading to a nice aubergine. Hoping for eventual platinum, which is what happened the last time.🤞🤞

One time I went to someone new and asked for platinum silver, she got it mixed up with titanium which it turns out, in the world of hair color, is bright blue.

I saw something somewhere that said “hell is an endless series of people asking you how to work the printer, half of them are older than you and half are younger.”

Ha, I forgot about that. She went so above and beyond that every Cameo I've seen since has seemed super lame by comparison.

And that film was AFTER plastic surgeons reconstructed his whole face. I studied SLS in college, it’s one of the first films given permission under the Hays Code to portray homosexuality, but only because the gay character met such a grisly end. Poor Montgomery, the 20th Century didn’t deserve him.

It honestly feels like one of my biggest disconnects with Gen Z. Like I get that, as a generation, we were culturally groomed. But when you have a meltdown over a 19yo old dating a 17yo, I just can’t even take you seriously. That is also a sort of cultural grooming, making normalcy taboo.

And not in a vanity label or fast fashion way. Just in an accessible, cool way. The only other brand I can think of that was kinda in the same category for me was Contempo Casuals

I paid particularly close attention to Foster’s career, as she was the only famous person with my name other than Johnny Whittaker’s character on Family Affair.

Although her real name actually isn’t even Jodie. I think it’s Alicia.

She did a few Disney movies including Freaky Friday. I think Candleshoe filmed before Taxi Driver but came out after. Her mom didn’t want her typecast as a child star, so she let Scorsese cast her as a sex worker which earned her an Oscar nom at 14. Dubious parenting, but seems to have worked out.

My first Esprit pants (multi-colored skinnies with ankle zips, 8th grade) were such a huge deal to me. They were the first thing I ever owned that my mom wouldn’t have been caught dead in.
