My DAD told me since I was a little kid, that I should never let a men other than him (because he & mom are parents & have responsabilities) pay anything to me ever. He told lots of 💩 men try to chain women with money, so I should never ever let them.

I'm not worried. If I crash and burn, so be it. I just want to see if everyone was right or wrong about me in my teens and early 20s.. I'm hoping they all had me wrong and I was always capable if I'd been given a chance. My therapist calls this a "restorative experience" lol.

Your mother was right. Also, before you get married and decide to leave the workforce you should have your own credit card, (based on your own income), your own bank account and one year’s worth of salary in it. Just in case Mr. Trad decides you’re no longer hot and dumps you.
