It's trans awareness week. If you weren't aware: I am a trans man, and I've written 2 books starring trans men:

Sword of the Voivode (high fantasy)

Build->construction

No one could duplicate the magic, concrete and steel construction methods used by this old civilization. Even with the scars of war and neglect, the elegant building long outlived its former masters.

From Armor of the Saints, my current wip and sequel to Sword of the Voivode.

I repeat words/phrases without thinking about it. It's the biggest thing I have to fix in editing.

Cyril's relationship with the couple that cared for him while his father was away at war: Orest and Lilya Stanescu, his childhood friend Bohden and best friend Svetlana. Svetlana and Cyril met at Vuretsiv, where they medically transitioned at roughly the same time. Mutual support bonded them.

I should be doing more advertising, but I don't think anything short of something paid actually works. I've been actively selling books for a little over a year now, and I think only organic conversations and a paid add on Tumblr ever sold anything online (cont)

Not a whole lot for either books. Rudolph has a gun, but he barely uses it. Cyril would be far more dangerous if he fought with a gun, but his body count wouldn't change dramatically. Writing his fights would be vastly different, though.
How much would your book/wip change if your MC had a gun #WritingPrompt

I was a girl, and I grew up to be a man. 'girl' me isn't a different person, just a different version of me. I spent 30 years socialized as a girl/woman, and I was still me, even if I was a deeply unhappy version of myself then.
How do you explain what happened to your past self once you transitioned?

Are they dead? Alive within you? Never alive in the first place? Or something else entirely?

Older trans people like me is the goal, but I net a LOT of older readers in general. Honestly, I'm ok with that. They want it, and they could use the insight on trans lives, I think.
What kind of audience do you hope to reach with your work? Who do you think needs it the most? #WritingPrompt

Gosh, I think it's probably that your life has value and meaning, no matter what any higher authority or institution might think of you or your life.
What sort of message do you hope people take away from your most recent book/wip? #WritingPrompt

Depends. The Inferni are unthinking war machines, designed to hunt and kill sentient life. The Monstra of Last Wolves are deemed monstrous because of outside perceptions about them. Bertrand and Radu are a werewolf and vampire, but they often show more humanity than some of thier human counterparts.
What makes the monsters in your book/wip monstrous? Is it their actions? Their perception by humanity? Are they just different? #WritingPrompt

“A monster?” I glanced over at Rudy quizzically. “He can’t be that bad…” I ventured.
“What he would do to this place is unspeakable.” Rudolph growled, his arms firmly crossed over his chest. He looked like a small, angry bear in my passenger seat.
From 'Lonely Eldritch Soul' an unfinished novellette
Happy Halloween! Anyone doing fun party stuff? (I have no IRL friends where I live so let me live vicariously through you. 😂)

No takers yet. Please consider donating to food bank organizations and local food banks if you can, even if you only have a little extra, even just $5. If you have enough to eat and just a couple dollars to spare, please help feed the less fortunate. Everyone has to eat.
Joining the trend!

Food stamps are threatened because of the government shutdown, a program I rely on myself. In an effort to support food banks in my state, if you make a donation of at least $5 or more and send proof to [email protected], I'll send you any of my ebooks.

Daumantas HATES being lied to. It can be relationship ending for him. Cyril can be more forgiving, depending on the circumstances, but he has a hard time trusting people after being lied to.
How do your characters handle being lied to? Are they forgiving? Does it depend on the lie? #WritingPrompt
