I'm not sure what I'm maintaining an online presence for. It's something I feel I do out of the sheer expectation and no other reason. I wonder how true that is, though. In a world where people no longer interact with strangers on social media, is it needed?

The Musk takeover broke up a decade old indie writing network on the platform, and I'm not sure where everyone went. I find people from time to time, but very few people interact with folks outside their inner circle. How do people even network now? (cont)

unless the person knows the podcaster or paid for a blog tour. In a lot of ways, I'm glad I don't have to rely on the Internet for sales. I don't think any of the most talked about strategies actually work. It does make my online presence feel redundant, though. (cont)

I've watched people move units in sales groups and bundles, but not make money. The only place I actually make anything close to a profit is in-person sales. I don't even know how people get interviewed for podcasts or blogs. (cont)
