The event is still run by your friends' friends. There's misunderstandings, there's mistakes, and there's mishaps behind the scenes. Sometimes there's ignorance too.

Not giving money to the one problem vendor is far more effective than trying to sabotage the whole community event

just saying

Vendors are businesses and money is the only language you need to tell them everything you want to say to them.

There's no need to boycott the whole event, where a couple folks out of the whole org may have made a misinformed decision

Large number of angry furs on social media pause to understand there's a person on the other side of the screen challenge: impossible difficulty
