Oh that's gonna be a great Christmas gift!

I would too! I'd like to see how they'd compare because I bet those percentages would be higher.

I've spent around 6-7 hours with Demonschool, and I'm having a lot of fun! Stay tuned for a review in a future issue of Nintendo Force Magazine.

I hope these impressions were helpful, and as always, feel free to ask any questions you have!

Thanks for reading!

You can try and retry actions in the planning phase as much as you want.

Character movement and attacks use AP, which is limited in each turn. I experimented a lot to make the most efficient strategy and get the most use out of AP. In the action phase, you see it all play out!

Demonschool's combat plays out on a grid, and you have planning and action phases.

In the planning phase, you set up your moves and attacks. You want to maximize the demons you take out in each turn. Each stage requires you to kill a certain number of enemies to get top marks.

I also want to shout out the NPC dialogue because as a Trails fan, I always appreciate when devs put thought into it.

I have taken the time to talk to every NPC when they have new dialogue. And it most definitely is worth it. See some examples below.

🤣🤣🤣

The party members that have joined Faye so far are pretty great too.

You have Namako, who's probably the most level headed of the bunch; Destin, the lovable idiot who loves to hit things, and Knute, a lost media aficionado and pacifist, who serves as the party's healer.

At the center of it all is protagonist Faye. She's the last of a clan of demon hunters, a brawler, and absolutely unhinged in the best of ways.

Y'all know I love a female lead in games, and she has been amazing so far. She cracks me up constantly.

First things first, Demonschool does employ some Persona-esque gameplay systems.

The game runs on a calendar system, features a school setting, and you can build bonds with your fellow party members.

There's also a large mystery at play re: demons and a supposed apocalypse.

Of course! Feel free to DM!
