I thought the target for the first UK boat was mid-2030s, not late? Ready for when the first Astute reaches the end of it's reactor life.

I must be a nerd, but I found the article and then Federal Reserve article it's based on, and it really doesn't say that. It just says that companies that invest more have higher productivity, which is hardly surprising. It says nothing about consumers failing to upgrade their phone every 2 years...

While I agree with the sentiment, and obviously we need to get closer to Europe (Rejoin!), please can someone have a word with Lib Dem HQ and ask them to stop repeatedly using the word "botched"? That word only exists now in Lib Dem comms and as the name of a TV series.
This is botched Budget, from a government that is hiking taxes on ordinary families instead of going for growth by fixing our trade with Europe.

Is assembling a jury really the capacity constraint in the system? I very much doubt it.....

Rather a stupid jury than a 70-year old judge.

Labour should have immediately ordered a detailed and rapid review of the programme after winning power last year, and cancelled it while they could still get away with blaming the Tories.

Even if this wasn't just plain wrong on principle (which it is), how does this achieve the stated aim of speeding up justice and clearing the backlog? Is assembling juries really the limiting factor in scheduling trials?

Maybe he's off to the freedom-loving United Arab Emirates?

I don't believe that poll....

I've used them before including to buy a fleet of new desktops for work, and I recommend them too.

They assemble PCs in the UK using "name" parts from companies you will have heard of, and let you customise the specification to your exact requirements.
