For me, it entirely has to do with how my mental state is otherwise at the time and how rushed I am (whether I need to find something NOW or can hold out for the perfect thing), so I get both perspectives

It can actually happen over time even if you keep the syrup refrigerated (if it’s been exposed to air). But you are correct that it’s best to refrigerate maple syrup after opening it

Maple syrup is the kind of thing where if mold grows on the top, you can skim the mold off and the rest of the syrup is still fine! (Take it from me, I come from generations of maple syrup-makers 😉)

Valve isn't nice or your friend, its just that no one has a gun to their head demanding they meet some made up growth goal every year or else. So they just do what works and makes money with as little risk as possible. Like a normal fucking business.

Yeah, so it’s basically impossible to know where an address is without a map in Japan. So before smartphones, people would go to the neighborhood police booth and ask the police person, who is an export on the neighborhood, if they didn’t already know where the address was

I used to just find it kind of nitpicky and annoying, but now it’s downright unusable
