Apparently the official Frankenstein acct is reaching fans whose twts are going viral, imagine if a certain franchise whose boss is desperate to have a good image was doing this instead of leaning twds the 2 tweets I saw saying "i don't see the romance" & letting waffle house get the publicity lol

I am still delighting in thinking about Frankenstein and do not need to see snob film ppl on the hellsite say it's Netflix, it doesn't follow the book enough, Victor is too monstrous & the creature too kind (??) or say another movie with similar messages of playing god is better like what

Just came back from watching Badlands in IMAX, really enjoyed it. Idk the Predator lore, just like the 1st movie, AvP & Prey so I didn't mind the humor maybe bcs I love the Great & wished SW also tried diff approaches. The sound, action & VFX were great & the critter didn't annoy me like BB Yoda lol

Just came back from watching Badlands in IMAX, really enjoyed it. What a great year for movies for me. Frankenstein might even have become one of my favorites ever. And we had Sinners, 28 years, One Battle After Another all with various atonement messages too and fighting demons lol. None but one being franchises, no AI. Love when we let artists make their movies

I refuse to play nice about Disney's 'Shlock Doctrine'. I have nothing against these directors apart from what they collectively represent under Disney Machinery. Their work is not magically exempt. This is how we got the fucking Russo Brothers and I'm just not that type of masochist.

Like someone just said at the other place - they don’t actually understand that disney+ gruel doesn't hold the same weight as a real movie. There’s very little hype for 2 more hours of a streaming show, sorry! Most obvious thing in the world but it escapes them

the forbes article about how "willow" was (relatively) cheap makes me think another point going on here is lucasfilm spending years as the d+ show production company, then when they had an internal film they wanted to make, the suits didn't allow it. rule of "one for them, one for me" broken.

I know the avengers memes are used in good fun to gather fans but sorry I hate them bcs these movies are part of why we have such a dire film landscape these days and just personally get ptsd from having worked on some 🥲 I'd rather fight Bob with stuff he didn't help produce
