Classic cars, vintage technology, music, amateur radio.
Tipping my hat to those who created technology in the past
Hi yes it is a 1300FWD.
Nothing to do with the front wheel drives that BMC did.
Same engine as the spitfire with the engine mounted on top of yhe gearbox and diff feeding the front wheels via rubber drive doughnuts and CV joints.

The Radio in Livie the Triumph 1300 was under the glove box which was a nusance. She also had no clock, hazard lights or 12v outlet. So how to fix without losing the period feel. Yesterday was spent making and installing this. The clock was a fiver at a stall at Rustival. The other two bits new.

This sits right behind me in my office and provides a good deal of extra warmth. Don't tell Mrs. R who decided we need to reduce the thermostats by a degree to save some money and the planet.

We took in a stray long haired blue we called Buxton.
We could not keep him as he did not get on with our own cat. He is living his best life with a friend of our daughter.
Named of course after the blue cat.

The centre of the record is exactly the right shade for the budget label Music For Pleasure.
An off shoot of EMI.
I am hoping he is listening to Relics by Pink Floyd.

Jist over a year ago we lost MOR singer Jack Jones.
When I was small my parents had an 8 track player in the car and one of of the 8 track cartridges was 'A song for you'.
It introduced me (at the age of about 5) to the songs of Leon Russell, Gordon Lightfoot and Carol King amomgst others.
