My paintings etc. Camb Drawing Soc twice a year since 1983. Lots of gallery shows in the past but a little disinvolved now owing to age. Occasional low-price studio sales to visitors. My urban garden is a wildlife haven.
Thank you Ben!

Twitter used to be great. After Musk I looked at my account occasionally. Now it's such a disgusting place I leave it alone. Trouble is you can't easily clear all your content without pay-for software. Also it's important not to close the account as someone will steal the name.

The waterman Jesse Hexham in Dicken's "Our Mutual Friend" made a career pulling corpses out of the Thames. What a terrific book that is!

Ahhh! Turpentine and linseed oil! Lovely!

Ah, yes it is lovely. It's a Malus (crab apple) but I've forgotten the exact name. Beautiful masses of pink flowers turning into small berries that the birds and squirrels love.

Thank you very much for taking the time to advise me about this. I am aware that this would be a good idea but I'm not sure if I want any further complexity or expense. I know people visit the site and I use it for linking images in emails etc. I'll think about it in the future.

Thank you Nula. I'm reluctant to send paintings out, especially overseas and to people who have not seen the original. I sell a small handful via the 2 annual exhibitions of a local art soc. Sometimes people drop by and buy a painting. I'm afraid that's the only selling I do these days in my old age

I love the garden. Here's a Google album showing it over the years. Always changing! photos.app.goo.gl/oidiCR2dnD9b...

Not many laughs online today but this raised a chuckle!

It sums up the pathetic age we live in.

Although Boris Johnson deserves excoriating blame for Brexit he proved that he didn't even believe in it by writing the two letters. He reduced it to a schoolboy's debating challenge and the nation lost. You need to keep attacking Nigel Farage though because he still thinks it was right.

Thank you, that is the period covering most of the novels and biography that I read. I fear that good illustrations of the Victorian and Georgian period would be somewhat beyond my ability but thank you for the thought!

Agree. Let it do so on a continual loop until it has achieved a karmic state of fuckedoffness.

I'm living that life.

Oils, watercolour, gouache, permanent inks, soft pastels, sometimes oil pastel. I don't use acrylic partly because it dries fast and ruins brushes (also I have a lot of oil paints and I don't want to start buying something completely different. So basically I love traditional media!
