@mjdowntheshore.bsky.social thank you for 3+ hours of fun and laughter, along with some really great menu choices. Salud de Mesilla is my favorite hangout and you are the best person to hang out with! You’re right, we make our own family, and I’m proud that you’re in mine. PS—love the socks!

The actions of ICE hit way too close to home yesterday. The husband of a friend and fellow activist was picked up after he was stopped for reasons still unclear, his car was towed and he’s being held in jail on an immigration detainer. He and his wife have four beautiful children, and

Last night was special. 80% of the people who attended our “Good Trouble” event were new to our group & they had such a good time, they didn’t want to leave. It all took place under a magic canopy of giant oak trees, clustered around a lighted gazebo to hear inspiring speakers & soulful music.

@chrislhayes.bsky.social it isn’t CARE-ville, people. It’s Kerrville, like Coach Steve Kerr. You know what you could do, if you don’t know? You could ask Morgan Chesky, who works for your network. He grew up there. This was terrible when the flooding first came on the scene. Now it’s just stupid.
July 10, 2025 at 12:10 AM
@msnbc.com and @nbcnews.com how about telling all your anchors, hosts and reporters that it’s not CARE county Texas, it’s KERR, like Golden State Coach Steve Kerr. Try asking Morgan Chesky, since he works for you and he’s actually from there.

So by the end of this week I will have moved the contents of five (well, technically six) climate-controlled storage units to our new place. Most of them were quite small, but the longer you keep ‘em, the more they cost. In essence we’ll be getting a $1360 raise on July 1st. Great exercise too.

Borrowed from FB. Seems we didn’t need those National Guardsmen at all, Greg. And where were they, anyway? Still playing Uno at the hotel?
June 15, 2025 at 12:51 PM
So we had a 100% non-violent protest in San Antonio with 300 people attending, and now Guv Assbutt is deploying the Natl Guard in anticipation of additional protests. Since when is that how it works? Wow, Governor, are you so eager to copy your idol, Trump, that you want to play this game? A-hole.

Despite the millions of MAGA $$ from around the country, despite the Trump/Abbott/Paxton endorsements, Rolando Pablos lost the mayor’s race in San Antonio this evening to former Undersecretary of the Air Force Gina Ortiz Jones. She’ll be the first member of the LGBTQ community in the position. Whew!

I’m on this fun list to receive news about entertainment in Cruces. Didn’t realize until today that you’ve been holding out on me about your Pilates studio. Gee, I would have dropped everything & rushed over. (Seriously, have you ever dropped by just out of curiosity?)

@santafesue.bsky.social good news on the Fredericksburg fire, it’s 80% contained. Good thing, because it’s up to 80 acres.

Good grief, a high school marching band came all the way from Haslet, New Jersey to march in the nation’s largest lighted night parade, Fiesta Flambeau here in San Antonio. Raritan H.S.! They made the longest trip to be here tonight. Did I mention it’s cold? 65. Brrrr.

I knew it had to happen eventually, but it doesn’t change what a sad day this is for Spurs fans and for San Antonio. Coach Pop has been a great mentor, an incredible coach and an outstanding advocate for justice, civil rights and democracy. Hope he will be with us for many more years.

Statewide event in Waco. Anything which features the powerful speaker James Talarico has my full support, for sure.

If I have to listen to anymore “keyboard activists” who think posting on social media is the same thing as organizing, canvassing, flyering and SHOWING up, I’ll scream. In the meantime, thanks to all who organized & attended the AMAZING protests held around the country today.

Nailed it.
I'm watching CNBC. These anchors are so angry. They really didn't believe he'd do it. They're actually just now, 10 years into this shit, realizing he's a maniac hellbent on revenge and there's no grand plan for the markets. Better late than never but holy shit.

I’m still listening for one, just one, tiny kernel of truth in Trump’s rant on tariffs. So far he is blabbering, freely making up numbers. Somebody please start fact-checking.
