I curate my feed carefully and don’t do automatic follow-backs. Sorry, folks! I’m sure you’re lovely. 💜
It’s all in how you use it.

Mix it with dark chocolate liqueur, chocolate bitters, and vanilla vodka.

Or put a splash in your espresso with a bit of dark chocolate syrup.

Do NOT mix it with anything fruity unless you like your alcohol to taste like cough syrup.

The only time I’ve ever had “extra” of anything, it’s because I had an allergic reaction 2 days into taking an antibiotic and had to switch to a different one.

My 12yo black cat has never been a problem for Christmas trees since adoption at 8 months.

My 1yo tortie alternates between climbing and attacking my faux flower arrangements, so I suspect she’s going to see the tree and all its pretty dangly ornaments as an invitation to commit destruction.

There is simply no medical reason to take a person, cold-turkey, off of a medication they've been stable on for almost a decade, with no offer of anything else - and when the lack of that medication causes irreversible lifelong issues up to and including death.

If you think that the current state of trans healthcare in the UK is because of concern or caution, I'd encourage you to think again.

It's not medically informed, it's a reactionary response to transphobic bigotry whipped up into a frenzy over the past few years.

And it costs lives.

Where do you think women on HRT get *extra* hormones to stockpile? They get the doses they need to manage sometimes debilitating menopause symptoms. There’s no “extra” there, any more than diabetics get “extra” insulin or folks with other health issues get “extra” SSRIs or “extra” statins.

The word I’m thankful for is hyphenated: Merriam-Webster.

(Also thankful for perspicacious, defenestration, verisimilitude, and blue. Why blue? I like the way it feels when I say it.)

I see they’ve evolved from cosplay modeling to making their own costumes. 🧵🪡

Careful not to stitch those precious toe-beans!

When I go to a retailer website and the fucking customer disservice chatbot immediately obscures part of the screen asking how it can “help,” all I see is the retailer asking for new ways to invade my privacy and make my shopping experience more irritating.

Does it count if I hear it playing *in my head*?

Because I have full stereo, full color audio-visual recall, so merely hearing the title or a snippet of something familiar starts my brain replaying the thing like some cursed autoplay video on social media.

And if that counts, I’ve already lost.

the Cliff…

with the Train (narrative) heading straight for it…

while Character is too out-of-sorts to recognize the danger…

and viewers can only watch with a growing sense of “oh no, oh shit, oh fuck,” hoping the catastrophe can be averted**

** It can’t; it’s the setup for the next act.

While viewers hang for a moment feeling slightly betrayed by the reveal…

Until Character, in their relief that it was all a very weird, very real-feeling dream, expresses relief and begins to tell Person about The Dream…

Whereupon something subtle about Person’s response reveals to viewers…

Give me “It was all just* a dream”…

* But the dream regurgitated a bunch of stuff Character has been avoiding dealing with IRL and connected a whole bunch of dots that the viewers might already have connected but Character definitely has NOT connected…

And then Character wakes up and feels relief…
