Finally, those differences we DO have, those moments of misunderstanding are so easily talked through.

We as queer people need to talk to each other, across the generations. Let's stop allowing cis het incendiary media divide us and exploit our differences, and talk for us.

There is a difference in language between generations. There are differences in how gender and sexuality were framed 40 years ago, even how it was experienced. But queer folk of all ages have a shared history that is deep and unshakable.

Oh I know! Imagine a Frank Gehry masterpiece right here. We did not book a sleeper cabin on the way to Bilbao, thinking we could sleep in our seats and save accomodation money. We definitely booked a sleeper cabin for the return trip.

I took the overnight train from Barcelona to Bilbao, dragging my girlfriend along (she was not enamoured by buildings), solely to visit the Guggenheim and it was a transformative moment in my life. Bilbao was incredible.

Last night’s discussion was about 20 over, 50 over and Test match formats - I offered no opinion on which was superior. And uniforms, whites vs coloured uniforms (OMG there’s something in that!) and there’s so much from a sociological (?) perspective.

To be fair, this is how I’d describe the genesis of most of my playlists.

The tune just grates me unfortunately- but I do agree that it’s feasibly hard to hate it when considering Q-Tip and Bootsy Collins.
