Between the haircut, jawline, & specific design era used for the X-Men ('91 to '92, largely from Jim Lee), I'd narrowed the Hulk reference materials provided to Bengus as either Dale Keown or Gary Frank from Peter David's run. Sure enough, both artists appear in Capcom's own promo materials

fun read. i knew about the (ahem) issues with the project lead and community but didn't know the tech is so slapped together.

this makes sense to me as long as it's qualified with a special skill to capture his ability to bullseye womprats in a T-16 - he's above the level of "can fly" to the point they're willing to strap him in a starfighter
