You're right. It's bad. It's why CA has used an independent commission since 2008. And it sucks it has to be done, but not doing it could mean no one gets representation in the future. If all Republican states gerrymander and all Democrat states keep trying to go high, we won't have elections at all

I just find it interesting that you so easily brush off the opinion of someone who is informed about the situation here, who lives with Calvert's BS every day, rather than being open to learning about why we Californians felt this was necessary.

One of the Republican representatives that will lose his job is mine. He cares so little about what we, his constituents, think that he doesn't do town halls, doesn't respond to calls and messages, does not talk to anyone at events he shows up to just for the publicity. He's there for power, not us.
