This is mad! My book with Nick Toscano was adapted for the @netflix.com series Apple Cider Vinegar, which is now on a billboard in Times Square 🤯

Our documentary Forced Fashion airs tonight at 9.35pm on RTÉ One and on RTÉ Player, looking at the links between forced labour cotton from Xinjiang in China and high street retailers. Until then, you can read this piece on the investigation: www.rte.ie/news/investi...
How forced Uyghur labour could be woven into your wardrobe
Behind the 'sustainable' labels on Ireland's high streets, cotton from China's Uyghur region is still slipping through. RTÉ Investigates uncovers the routes of forced labour and the systems that fail ...

The tag on your t-shirt may not be telling you the full story, as it says where your clothes were made but not necessarily where the cotton was grown

Nothing is permanent on social media. Users deleting their posts or webpages can lead to the erasure of a trail of evidence that may be crucial to your investigations. But how do you keep that data? We've updated our Auto Archiver tool to make archiving easier... www.bellingcat.com/resources/20...

This is new!! Looks like Clothoff has set up this warning message for those in the US (at least California). I can only guess this has to do with the Take it down act! While of course, you can still use a VPN to access through other sites, this huge!!

The US is a big part of the Clothoff userbase

My latest. I heard about this growing up and spent the last few years seeing what FOIAs, interviews, and archives can tell us. It’s a glimpse into the murky, ruthless underworld of 1970s Texas. Grateful for my brilliant editors @gycsak.bsky.social @liseolsen.bsky.social @beaudonelly.bsky.social

Even when I expect nothing, I'm still disappointed.

Twitter/X is supposed to prohibit non-consensual nudity (as even indicated in this email from them), but when I flag Twitter accounts that sell/provide this very service, it does not violate their policy.
Hello,

Thanks for reporting UndressAppEn and for using your voice to make X better for everyone. After review, we want to let you know UndressAppEn hasn't broken our sensitive media rule.

We allow sensitive content — like consensually produced adult content, graphic imagery and violence — in posts as long as it doesn't break our sensitive media policy.

What can you do?

If you don’t want to see sensitive media on X, you can update your sensitive media settings.

Please report child sexual exploitation and non-consensual nudity separately. And if there’s sexual violence in this post, please report it as violent. We have zero tolerance for those kinds of behaviors.

Thanks,

X
