The Times parsed the vote using similar categories and again found that the single most determinative factor economic-like factor in the election was "commute by transit" vs "commute by car." It edged out renters vs. homeowners. There's still outstanding data but I expect these trends will hold.

i just need people to know it's not hypocrisy when Devout Christian Mike Johnson cuts off SNAP benefits. it's not a lack of "christian charity" to make kids starve; it's because the christian right wants to control who gets food, through churches, so they can deny queers and sluts at will

I saw someone say today “I don’t want to live in a country where our disputes are decided by bullets and blood”, and I fought every urge to ask what country they thought they’d been living in.
Violence is how the US settles everything. We need to see that if we’re gonna do something different.

the obvious answer is st paul, who's constantly engaged in QT debates w/people who block him so you're never quite sure what he's arguing against but he sure is mad about it. christianity is just posters all the way down
oh i never shared this here: last weekend i put on this cute little dress and stood out in the open watching the local fair parade make its way down main street. in the span of about two and a half months this summer i went from zero local visibility in this little town to…this. 😳🫣💁🏻♀️☺️
