When I tell you this one scene in Bodies Bodies Bodies changed my life? I quoted it so often until I embodied that same vibe.

Anyways, that’s my little update. I love old me, she was still hot as fuck, and will continue to be hot as fuck regardless.

But it will be nice to be in a physical state where I can lift weights again (and not re-injure myself). One step at a time!

Right now, this is what is working for me. It may not be the same in a few years. I’ve fluctuated weight my entire life depending on the circumstances. I’ve done this dance before. But the difference now is focusing on my literal health (not exclusively weight related), and loving my past self.

It’s gotten a lot better! It’s still difficult for me to celebrate, especially right now when it feels like the world is embracing some pretty harmful body views. It has taken a lot of therapy to accept that my body is not a “before/after”. It’s just a “then/now”.

I’ve been in chronic pain for a couple years now. It got so bad, I could barely get out of bed without feeling it. I’ve been in physical therapy off and on. I got better about seeing my doctors. I track my nutrition. But my focus has never been on being “thin”, I just don’t want to hurt every day.

This will be my final month open, which is kinda sad to think about but also a relief to have some free time back. 🥲
