If you've never been, in a small village in the middle of nowhere in East Flanders cycling country. Great food & an excellent beer list. It will be missed 😢

The sun finally came out, before the next storm, so a ride to Codsall Station. Various Holdens beers sampled & Xmas came early with a turkey, cranberry, stuffing & gravy cobbles 😋 The place was absolutely buzzing, Codsall is the place to be.

We have a bit of a soft spot for a 1980s Lombard RAC. I competed twice '84 & '86 & finished both. Also @beerbabe-uk.bsky.social competed in '86, we were in different cars & came in 3rd Team, also a 2nd in class for me. Both as co'drivers. Plates & trophies are from '86 #happydays

Trappist vs non-Trappist, Achel Extra Bruin bb 09/21, so maybe 7 or 8 years old and the newer Superior Dark bb 10/25 so 3 years old. Both aged well & had plenty of condition. Must get to Achel again some time, some great riding around there 😉

An afternoon of WW2 movies, The Longest Day & The Train, so Normandy Beer Factory beers inc the Magnum of Triple we got in Sept as it was close to its BF date. Need to visit Sainte-Mere-Eglise again, maybe next year 🤔

2nd hedgehog house built yesterday in the rain out of an unused shed door (crap wood, but it works). Placed in position this evening. Last photo is the hog house I made out of the other door, about 8 wks ago. It has been well & truly inhabited since. As we get multiple visitors there may be a 3rd!

#TBT Back in 2009 we drove all the way to Rome via Switzerland & Riccione for the 24 Hours of Rome mtb race. On the way back we stayed in Finale Ligure & discovered a fabulous little place in Finaleborgo. Our 1st taste of the then blossoming Italian craft beer scene #bkybeer
