Top tip - Mulling over ideas, plots and characters is time well spent. It’s important to me to get to know my characters first. Once I know something is going to work then I can set to work with the post-it notes. Thinking it through now saves me time later.

A rewrite is basically a massive edit!
There loads that needs to change, a key thread that needs to come out and be replaced and then I need to deal with the knock on impact on character and plot.
