I cannot overstate how much of a game-changer DxO PureRAW is for low light photography. If I can push a file from my 5D Mark IV ~3 stops at ISO 12,800 and get this result, fair to say it works.

I started designing stuff like 20 years ago, and I worked as a prepress guy for a bunch of years. Haven’t done anything for ages, but it‘a still a buzz to hold a physical design in your hands. Especially when it has @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social’s handiwork all over it.

I don’t have one, but Since I Left You by Avalanches is going close. It is truly the birth of a new breed of plunderphonics. It’s textural, it’s whimsical, but most of all, it’s beautiful. Truly, it’s a love letter to the complexity of sound.

My first… er, sky? blue? Whatevs, as a finalist for the 2023 David Malin Awards. It’s looking likely I’ve swept the smartphone category with 3 in the finals. These three made cut, which is a good result considering I entered 4 shots into this category.
