I'm in @jacobinmag.bsky.social today with a look at the ways in which Zohran is uniquely Bernie's heir--both in that he's a *product* of the post-Bernie left in a way none of the other nationally prominent "Berniecrats" were and in his adoption of Bernie's left-populist communication playbook.

The reading for the first Zoom session of the Vol. 1 class will be the Preface to the First Edition + Section 1.1 and for the Vol. 2 class we'll ease in by reading Ernest Mandel's introduction to the Penguin edition of Vol. 2.
Really looking forward to both.

First I'm hearing of it--the author isn't anyone otherwise on my radar--but (a) they just fundamentally misread the article & (b) they're talking out of both sides of their mouth on whether indigeneity is just structural or involves ancestry.
