I know I'm bringing my personal experiences into the conversation, so I could imagine this strike specific nerves for you.
For me, I get very wary when people say things that sound like there's specific ways to be gay. But I do see your point if the intention is to actively appear _not_ gay instead

That's what I thought you meant. So not about fashion but masking.
Still, I guess I'm more Benefit of the Doubt. Maybe they do enjoy that style, maybe they have a reason to mask. But certainly costume/internalized homophobia could be a factor.
Not something I've seen but I'll keep an eye out

Okay the dialogue is weak frequently. I ended up taping out on Amazons and went to the next episode which is DEEPLY WEIRD and full of disturbing imagery.

I can wax poetically about the story, animals, and setting (which are all fun) but let's be real. A big part of this show's appeal are the guys running around in fur speedos. A recent guest character was clearly not hired for his line delivery

I'm so glad the sidekick isn't 100% useless. He's humorous but at least in these first two episodes is helpful with his own set of skills
