We launched GenExile, our solarpunk city-builder, in Early Access last week. We had ~35k wishlists before launch (not a barnburner but not nothin').
And they said, "Well, there's no way you'll convert literally 0% of your wishlists to sales."

look I think we can all agree the important thing is as long as most money on earth consistently keeps flowing to about fifty people who are all friends and they don't have to do anything because it's earned by profiting off everyone else's work then whatever happens to anyone else is irrelevant

look I think we can all agree the important thing is as long as most money on earth consistently keeps flowing to about fifty people who are all friends and they don't have to do anything because it's earned by profiting off everyone else's work then whatever happens to anyone else is irrelevant
I had this one! It actually had a neat dynamic music element, where melodies were randomly generated by the floating notes you had to hit.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

I worked at Gamestop for the midnight release of this and, at least at my store, the line was full of the worst kind of Entitled White Gamer Bro. They constantly called the store from the line outside just to yell at us, kept threatening to break windows. Absolutely rancid vibes that night.
