Great to take part in a number of events last week at #LabourConference.

This one hosted by @labourhousinggroup.bsky.social was a highlight, where MPs @naushabahkhanmp.bsky.social & @joepowell.bsky.social promised to stand up for the Renters’ Rights Bill and resist all attempts to water it down.

Yesterday, MSPs voted to deny new eviction protections for renters.

@bentwomeyuk.bsky.social labelled the decision a "major backwards step", with Scottish renters soon to have the worst eviction notice periods in Britain if the gov doesn't change course.

Pets are part of the family, but too many renters are denied this joy. The Renters' Rights Bill will give renters the right to have a pet.

The Government must look to carry out the legislation ASAP so renters can benefit from their new rights.
