flipside -- when you are in great shape, you think San Pablo is totally flat, but when you are old and tired, you notice there are real ups and downs along it

Heavy vehicles including trash trucks are capable of lots of damage. Kind of surprised Berkeley is still running 3 heavy trucks down each street every week. Seems like you could have a collection system that did less damage.

Not an expert, but SF seems to use the 120 foot rule:
A. FSAEs shall apply to all new high-rise buildings more than 120 feet in height

You know their time manner and place regs are BS because they did not arrest the person who put up the ADHD study recruitment poster that is in the picture.
Also, it seems like a stretch to say those posters damaged anything. They are peeling visibly in the picture.

Part of the DMV driver exam should be a random person walking up to your car and touching it. If you respond, you fail.
Another part should be walking across a major street and dealing with drivers as a pedestrian.

Target, along with Safeway, is on my list of places I only shop when under extreme distress.
Safeway in Berkeley once required clerks to greet all customers. It was creepy. Halfway thru shopping, you would feel like you were the only one there who was not off their rocker.

That study is about air pollution. Cars also make particulate water pollution from tires and brakes.

Cornell has $12 Billion in endowment, but sold their soul to get $250 million restored.
They could have afforded to wait it out.
Now they are no longer a university.

There is an alternative transport committee, that meets about twice a year. Not clear they have power. Latest agenda doesn't seem panicked about the shuttle. www.csueastbay.edu/parking/alt-...

The campus used to fund it thru grants and tickets
"The shuttles are funded by parking citation fees and shuttle 2 on the Hayward route is funded by an Alameda CTC/Bay Area Air Quality Management District grant. "
Wonder what happened to that money?
