Sent before I finished. Rent is lower than rateable value by some way. I don't mind paying tax, but a steep increase (after a steep increase last year when Reeves reduced relief by approx half) is not ideal.

It's frustrating to hear the govt claiming it is lowering business rates. They're not.

Rent was agreed on a long-term fixed basis so hasn't changed and isn't likely to.

Rateable values work off a LOT of assumptions.
