I honestly don't really follow sports, but is our ENTIRE culture now basically, "you know what...we *might* just kill you..."
They may be ugly as sin, but at least the NBA Cup courts might also kill a player

Oh my GOD. So, if you're in the Twin Cities metro area and haven't shoveled your drive yet, maybe expect it to be WORK. I had left mine, thinking some would melt, but it was a disaster (ice underneath, hard snow on top). Will be eating an extra helping of mashed potatoes tomorrow though ☺️

I work for myself and business this week is not great, Bob. So I've already decided I'm just going to take tomorrow off and
1.) play with my dog in the snow
2.) prep my dish for family T-day
3.) watch movies

Halfway through 7th grade I realized I could leave school at lunch time, walk the mile and a half home, and no one would ever follow up. The walk would make me hungry, so I'd house one of these, first thing. Every few years I'm reminded they still exist and I absolutely CRAVE a can for lunch.
Working from home and giving thanks for having the house all to myself 😂

Every single artist, illustrator, design freelancer I know - no matter their current or past successes - has existential worries right now. If you can, please support artists and small makers this holiday season. If you are interested in art (in any price range) but don't know where to start, LMK!
the uncertainty of freelance is NOT for the faint of heart. two weeks ago i was in a position to potentially make around $7.5-10K in December and enough things have shuffled around or cancelled TODAY to bring me down to maybe less than half of that lol

I love living here, but there are lots of things I miss about Chicago. For one, the local programming veered toward slightly unhinged at least half of the time. I was just reminded of this AM news segment and this is exactly the kind of energy I need to start my mornings. (Sry for the lame FB link).

Replacing an old fire alarm and do none of them beep anymore? Seems they're all voice alarms - a bit unfortunate because my only experiences with them is that they go off in the dead of night due to a battery issue. A strange voice is the absolute last thing I want to wake up to at 2:30 am.

Oh man! Forgot to mention: Went to Chimborazo and it was great. Very chill spot - nice atmosphere, food was so good. Full house and DoorDash orders were coming in fast & furious. Get a side order of llapingachos with whatever you order.
Chimborazo (Ecuadorian place on Lexington next to Trader Joe's) is low-key and delicious
