I'll remove my backpack before boarding every train and will only put it back on if I have enough space to do so and so long as it doesn't negatively impact anyone else's journey.

A Team Project is just a project that's stored on and shared through Creative Cloud. I don't work with those so much so I mostly only know about them in theory.

I figured Team Project is what you meant initially. The only other collaborative editing workflow in Premiere Pro I know of is a Production, which basically just contains normal .prproj files but locks them so they can only be opened as an editable project by one person at a time.

If you're using a Team Project, no - you do not have to access the media from the same location, but the media must be identical (obviously). You'll likely need to relink media semi-regularly:
