That convention despite me no longer being involved, has proven to still take safety and DEI seriously. A small glint of hope in the current state of affairs.

Being trans & having been on staff. I had to teach other staff members not to use dead names outside legal docs. They would not have been aware of it if I had not been there to bring it up. Not malicious on their part but they didn’t know. I worried about if they remembered not to use deadnames.

After a decade of coordinating I needed to step back and focus on getting my BA in communications. I am specializing in mass media, and minoring in Marketing.
Currently I have my AA in communications and specialized in Advertising and Public Relations.
