BHA has embodied the community-led approach for over 35 years and continues to ensure that Black and ethnic minority communities receive care that understands their cultural contexts, addresses stigma, and provides safe spaces for honest conversations about sexual health.

The barriers? Low awareness, structural factors, stigma, and services that aren't designed with Black and ethnic minority communities at the centre.
We know what works: culturally competent outreach, trusted community leadership, and peer-led programmes.

Along with the @gmpash Partnership, BHA offered free, simple and confidential testing across Greater Manchester. The week concluded on Monday 1st December which coincided with World AIDS Day 2025. PaSH marked this important day with a candlelit vigil in Manchester City Centre.
