My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

The Constitution is very straightforward on birthright citizenship. There's no ambiguity in the language, no other plausible interpretation.

The fact that this is a public discussion at all, and that the Supreme Court is taking it up, is on its own anti-constitutional bullshit.

It starts with knowing the truth. Don’t allow yourselves to be gaslit into believing this is a real question.

Democrats need to lay the groundwork for reform by attacking the villains on the Supreme Court - loudly, angrily, personally, relentlessly. And they should start now.

Democrats Need to Treat the Supreme Court Like the Villain It Is
The Court is out of control, and we'll never see reform unless we build the case for it. Starting now.

Religious leaders have to lead the fight against ICE terror and fascism, otherwise they are what MLK called an "irrelevant social club." We have to do everything we can and I'm happy to lead a church doing everything it can to fight back, including using our sacred symbols. More on our nativity 👇👇👇
In Chicago, a Nativity scene features a zip-tied baby Jesus and Roman centurions in "ICE" vests.

Near Boston, Mary, Joseph, and Jesus are absent from a Nativity scene, replaced with a sign reading "ICE was here."

It's all part of growing religious blowback to ICE. religionnews.com/2025/12/05/i...
ICE Nativity scenes: Churches reimagine Christmas story amid deportations
(RNS) — 'We know that Jesus was born into a Roman imperial occupation, and pretty much immediately becomes a refugee in Egypt, has to flee and faces political violence,' the Rev. Michael Woolf said.

In the aftermath of much well-heeled panic about a potential mass exodus of New York millionaires and billionaires following the election of Zohran Mamdani, the contrary is already happening, and Manhattan luxury apartment buyers are voting with their wallets.

‘There is no Mamdani effect’: Manhattan luxury home sales surge after mayoral election, undercutting predictions of doom and escape to Florida | Fortune
Signed contracts for Manhattan homes over $4 million skyrocketed 25%; “the idea that people would flee New York was overblown,” said realtor Donna Olshan.

This is one of many decisions that only makes sense if you see the court as a political body, where six Republicans are willing to overturn a well reasoned District Court opinion with a 2.5 page opinion, with the likely and intended effect being to determine that Republicans hold Congress

The economic boycott caught fire. What's next?
The economic blackout on Feb. 28 was an important first step. But future boycotts will require these ingredients to be effective.

This is my big soap box. We gave the presidency too much power with the PATRIOT Act, extrajudicial drone strikes, indefinite detention and the creation of the Department of Homeland Security. Trump is just using executive authority Congress gave to the presidency after 9/11 to maximum effect.
Congress, in my opinion has ceded too much of its authority to the Executive Branch in the last nearly quarter of a century. What the administration has been doing is simply part the Post 9/11 legacy. It’s got to stop. I say this as a GWOT era veteran.
Credit to Rand Paul. He hated extrajudicial drone strike killings under Obama and he HATES them under Trump where Congress has given no authorization.

Cuellar should resign from Congress. If he wants to serve Trump, Cuellar can apply for a job with the regime.

But like most shamelessly corrupt career politicians, Cuellar is unlikely to leave on his own — so Democrats must prepare to kick Cuellar out of the party.

For anybody who thinks being a U.S. citizen will save them, or that being white will save them, this is a blonde white woman who is a US citizen and the thugs took her too.
Anyway, for the 80 billionth time, stand up for everybody’s rights
Agents in Key Largo, Florida ripped this woman wearing medical scrubs out of her car as she screamed she is a US citizen. Agents cuffed her and put her in one of their cars.

She was eventually let go, per David Goodhue of the Miami Herald, who also took this footage:

Trump is using pardons in the same way he has used other parts of his public office: not as a demonstration of reasoned mercy, but as an opportunity to extract benefits for himself, his family or supporters.
