When I was 5 or 6, I rode my toboggan into the side of a house and concussed myself. It was around the early 70s, so no one cared. But, yup, helmets are a good idea.

Yes, low-priced components and drives help many enter the ebike world, but I recommend buying only Bosch, Shimano, or Yamaha drives.
We periodically get Rads in the coop, given their price point and our clientele. Horrid bikes. Too many people buy them used, only to learn they just wasted a grand+
