I guess it’s the same way as people prefer ‘watching’ podcasts. I can’t do it, I struggle sometimes watching picture stories but love audio format

Thank you and fully agree! I grew up listening to audio books and radio plays all the time. This all came about because we were chatting about books and I said ‘oh I read that, well listened to it’ and the other person said ‘so you haven’t read it…’

I love this take. And the next time I see the dweeb who told me it was cheating I am going to tear him a new one! I knew it wasn’t cheating but couldn’t put my finger on why. I lose my words when wrapped up in an argument.

I’ve not read the book but the first tv adaptation of IT with the legendary Tim Curry as Pennywise, now that still gives me the willies.

A cerebral take but I will accept it. Silent Spring was a pretty big deal in my life so I’ll give this a go

Oh jeez. Honestly anything about a nuclear holocaust and I’m kind of done for. Even the flashback/dream scenes of terminator I struggle with

Tried dropping a heelys reference at the end of the podcast. Nick was not impressed and cut it from our novel.

It may not seem like much to miss but given the whole scene is supposed to frame Eisenhorn’s mistrust of the admiral this does actually add some nice context
