CCS has been successfully used since the 1970s to get more oil out of the ground and thereby increasing CO2 emissions. By far the most CCS today is still used that way. When it comes to climate mitigation, it's not fared well. The Norwegian carbon storage sites have hugely underperformed...

You can see here which areas are most affected by Drax's pollution at different times: www.plumeplotter.com/drax/. However, long-distance dispersal of particulates doesn't mean those are then safe to breathe in. Across UK, most particulates from biomass come from domestic wood burning.
