And every pundit you follow is so shocked

Check how often your face pundit cites and actual immigrant

I’ve had so many clients who prided themselves on paying on time, even early before work had even started

It’s hard to imagine what work would look like if employers moved like this with employees…happy to pay salaries as a measure of contribution to an ecosystem

Something refreshing about freelancing is the general attitude re: paying each other for labor is contributing to a community

A stark difference from employment where labor is only a cost…and one that should be minimized as much as possible (preferably through AI)

From what I learned (also from private school) - the flip side of this is also meaningful.

The presumption of guilt and punishment enacted by the powerful does not mean one is guilty.

It means simply that one has been deemed an outsider.

And outsiders lose.

Attacks on the federal workforce are also attacks on Black workers, who are overrepresented in the public sector.

Black unemployment is 7.5%. I'm reminded of Coates' observation that Black Americans regularly experience conditions that would be considered a crisis if whites faced them.
