Joy and culture aren’t extras — they’re what sustain this work. From the Harlem Renaissance to today’s movements, music, laughter, and celebration have fueled resilience and connection.

Joy is power: it keeps communities engaged, organizers grounded, and movements alive every single day.

Over $38 billion in government subsidies while Black workers still face healthcare inequities. Even with insurance, Black patients are skipped, delayed, and underserved.

Every dollar to billionaires is a dollar not spent on our communities.

We need Congress to keep the Enhanced Premium Tax Credit (EPTC) in place. It makes health care affordable for millions, including thousands of Black families. Without it, premiums will rise and families will be forced to choose between care and basic needs.

When it comes to issues facing Black communities today, different people will give different answers — and that’s because Black voters are not a monolith.

We care deeply about racial equity and systemic change, but the ways these issues show up and how we address them can differ.

SCOTUS will hear Watson v. RNC, a case that could toss ballots postmarked by Election Day.

If overturned, thousands of legally cast ballots could be thrown out, hitting seniors, people with disabilities, rural voters, and Black communities hardest. This is about whether every vote counts.

When corporations bow to pressure and abandon DEI, collude with agencies that tear families apart, or fund policies that rob our communities of resources, they show us exactly who they stand with and it’s not us. #WeAintBuyingIt

A Cato Institute analysis found the U.S. spends $181B a year on corporate subsidies—money that could instead pay for essentials like groceries, a utility bill, or healthcare.

Louisiana v. Callais isn’t just a court case — it’s a fight for fair maps and voter power. The Supreme Court could gut Section 2 of the VRA, splitting Black votes and silencing communities.

LIVEFREE is partnering with @DoorDash on #ProjectDASH, supporting families who rely on SNAP benefits.

Throughout November, DoorDash is waiving merchant fees for 300+ partner food banks, food pantries, and community organizations—an estimated 1 million meals delivered nationwide.

The Trump admin. will require all SNAP participants to reapply, claiming an anti-fraud crackdown, though fraud is minimal and states already recertify regularly.

Mass reapplications will overwhelm offices, cause delays, and put children, seniors, and working families at risk of losing benefits.
