1st inning is likely the answer. Most teams don't IBB as often as the Jays do, so to give the Jays potential for a bigger inning with a free runner + show lack of confidence in Schlittler early wasn't worth it to them. That'd be my guess.

Talking to Shi, Bichette reiterated that being able to run the bases is the bar he'll have to clear.

Certainly wasn't definitive, but 3 more off days before ALCS.

Pulling off a successful bullpen game -- against the league's best offense, no less -- requires so much. Way better defense, 8 (!) arms contribute, Schneider pulls the strings well, and the bats give a cushion.

Had 5 days off to rest the hamstring and work on mechanical tweaks. Also good neuroscience around mental breaks helping physical performance in high-intensity environments.
