This reads like AI garble (and it probably is as it is all a hallucination!)

We walked through a an old graveyard recently… so many infants/young children

Two physician family: we almost always get groceries delivered. I miss spontaneous decisions and selecting unbruised fruit—but what ever we can do to make life a little easier is 💯. Hope you are feeling better!

There are two articles in NEJM this year that say naltrexone is 'contraindicated for cirrhosis'. This saddens me.

It is not supported by an evidence.

Alcohol is 'contraindicated for cirrhosis'. That is supported by evidence
Another review article on AUD

An important message on naltrexone in patients with liver disease:

✅Naltrexone can help reduce alcohol use without harming the liver.

🚫Alcohol DOES harm the liver.

We do not need any more barriers to treat patients with AUD➕ALD!

We need more of our #MedEd leaders and journals for #GIsky and #liversky. Have not yet reached critical mass here.

Not in our archaic non-epic EMR.

Also—if your 2.5 pubs/year include @nejm.org, you are doing something right! 👏

Horrible! We like to wait for our weekly multidisciplinary rounds to discuss concerning cases with pathology and radiology (and surgery/IR/oncology). This allows us to verify diagnosis and often come up with a plan. This ideally happens BEFORE the patient sees a scary dx. This causes harm!

Overly racist. How horrible!

When people do go into medical school, many are pressured away from lower paying specialties into higher paying specialties because of debt. We need to pay primary care 🧑‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ and pediatricians more. We need to do away with 🏦barriers to higher education/desperately needed careers and make 📚 affordable

Our administration is clearly trying to MAHA by “protecting” a large population from accessing the “harms” of healthcare

Fellow (PGY-7), soon to be triple boarded. I moonlit as a resident under my independent medical license. Am I overqualified for surgeon general, as you definitely are?! Very scary that nearly all federal healthcare leadership hasn’t ever/or not for a very long time actually independently practiced.

📢 PSA: 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️Primary care doctors and internists:

‼️Please 🛑 telling patients “it’s just fatty liver”

Common, yes. But not benign!

✅ Take 🍺🍸history, perform brief intervention
✅ Manage metabolic risk factors
🧐Fibrosis (FIB-4)
☎️ Your friendly hepatologist if you need help!

In an epidemic of alcohol-use disorder, alcohol-associated liver disease, and cancers driven partially by 🥂🍸🍺, click-bait headlines like these are extremely harmful for population health.

Let’s do better for our patients and public health.

When did the hotel mini-bar get not-so-mini?!

As an alcohol-associated liver disease focused hepatologist, this trend is very concerning!

😂 Same. Also—despite knowing this, I still panic with the slightest turbulence. Especially when I am flying out of DCA…

I already had my yearly haircut. So unless I get a lot of admin time, no haircuts left as a fellow!

Have found many many concerning things with AI including chat GPT and open evidence, including DOIs and PubMed IDs that are not connected to the articles asked for and mis attributing society guidelines in GI to another society. Things I see as err, but others may not. Very scary!
