I never really understood why companies would make the ultimate decision not to ship a finished game. Since they already spent the money to produce it, would it not just make sense to get the discs pressed and on shelves and recoup some costs rather than abandon ship entirely?

It looks like for the UI they actually took some of the elements they used for The Orange Box console releases and repurposed them here. Namely the weapon switcher and pause menu

I saw something awhile back that mentioned reaching out to local children's hospitals if you're looking to offload gaming hardware; I imagine that's still something they're constantly looking for.

How old is the drive and how much does it get written to? If I have a drive dropping out randomly and it's always worked in the past, I assume it's failing. Usually SSD's will quit out without any sort of indication that they're going to, but sometimes they'll flip flop and eventually just quit out

Never understood logic behind the aversion to be "dependent" on a medication... It's supplementing a chemical that the brain literally isn't making. It was prescribed as a necessary thing for the person to function. What else do you want?

Imho I think games where the online multiplayer functions *would* still work are worth listing. I can't imagine it's common that you would find active players in every game that still has the capability; and just because players aren't active now doesn't mean there won't be later

From someone who lives more primarily on Discord, I'd say the main thing I tend to see in those ranks is hyperfixation on point gains in ITL or Stellar rank/Life4 for DDR
While both of those things quantify an overall skill gain, they don't target individual skillsets or consistency

I think it's safe calling this a hard 11; calling it a 12 would put people in a position of feeling the need to justify it and puts it at risk of being downrated in the future
