I'm all for negative consequences to using AI to script answers that you think the employer wants to hear, etc. Though it's interesting to see someone say it's fine, encouraged even, to use AI once you're hired. Idk Idk

"There has never been an independent publisher that champions literary fiction by men," is SO hard to believe. Not even bc that's the unwritten mission of some but bc he can't possibly be the first guy with this idea. He's probably just the first w/ the resources to get a Bookseller article abt it.
The focus of the publishing is in response to “a situation where stories by new male authors are often overlooked, with a perception that the male voice is problematic”, according to Cook. However, he emphasised that Conduit Books “doesn’t seek an adversarial stance”, but “to augment the incredible work of small presses everywhere, some of which are exclusively publishing work by women, with a space for male authors to flourish”. Cook told The Bookseller: “There has never been an independent publisher that champions literary fiction by men. Which is not to say we won’t publish fiction by women in the future – but the emphasis at first will be on male authors.” He continued: “Over the past 15 years, the publishing landscape has changed dramatically. As a reaction to the occasionally toxic male-dominated literary scene of the ’80s, ’90s and noughties, literary fiction by women has come into its own. Most of the excitement and energy around new and adventurous fiction is around women authors – and this is only right as a timely corrective.” However, he said Conduit Books will seek to publish a range of “overlooked” issues, including “fatherhood, masculinity, working-class male experience, sex and relationships, and negotiating the 21st-century as a man”.
