I was appalled to see this morning that Tasmania, with Hydro, is so high for power bills. It is above some other states which demonstrates to me that the Liberal government cannot manage the assets and ensuing prices. This will be a nightmare with the interest payments on the stadium costs.

What I find abhorrent is the posts on social media saying the no supports are all old and should step aside. Those generations that built hospitals, road, provided police, schools. should not line up at A&E or expect to educate their kids for free, or drive on paved roads, or expect law and order.

The Liberal Government in Tasmania are probably like Trump in the USA, they are probably on the take. That is why they are so desperate to get a stadium.

Yes, and if Tasmania get an AFL team it is likely that only one or two players would get selected....they will be ring ins from the mainland. How does that support any grass roots sport?

It will be interesting....as a lot of the people who might attend football are possibly drinkers, and random breath tests will be thrown into the mix if a stadium goes ahead. Anyone attending a game or event had better plan for an overnight stay with the gridlock it may cause.

The true nasties in journalism and politics in Australia will be negative whilst Australia wishes Albo and Jodie all the best, and well done on keeping the event secret. After all the LNP are still going on about the $275, which would have come down had the LNP not lied about power pricing.

In part because we have a honest system. There is so much corruption and so many questions about the integrity of the voting machines in the USA that they need to sort that out as well. For instance, Ivanka Trump owns voting machines???

Will the Independents be brave enough to stand up for Tasmania's economy through the emotional blackmail, with all forms of press and even the PM promoting the stadium? I am sick of people saying older people do not want the stadium, it is the people who see the realism of the cost for a few people.
